Winkler Council will have at least two new faces come October.

Last month Mayor Neil Schmidt announced he would step down in October and last night councillor Ron Neisteter indicated he would also not seek re-election.


Neisteter was first elected in 1998 and served two terms on council.


He has enjoyed his time in civic politics and indicated he may seek a council seat again in the future.
