The town of Plum Coulee will have a new mayor this fall.

Kim Porte has decided not to run in October's civic election.

Porte has spent two terms as councillor and two as mayor.

He says some of his most memorable moments include the new developments, the formation of Sun Belt Development Group, and the Plum Coulee Community Foundation's work.

Porte says he's approached people about running for his position.

He says however at this point he doesn't know if anyone has confirmed running for mayor.

Porte feels with so many younger couples moving to Plum Coulee, it's time to get some new ideas on council.
