Anthony Friesen allowed just two hits and struckout 10 as the Pembina Valley Orioles blanked the Bisons 2-0 in Altona. Friesen worked the last six innings in relief of Pearce McDonald who started the game and gave up one hit and no runs. McDonald had two hits, scored a run and had an rbi. Angus Klassen took the loss for the Bisons as he went the distance allowing seven hits, he struckout four and gave up one earned run. The Orioles scored one run in the top of the sixth inning and one more in the seventh. Pembina Valley is in second place in the Manitoba Junior Baseball League with a 7-2 record. The defending champion Elmwood Giants lead the way at 6-1. The Bisons, who will host the St. Boniface Legionaires on Friday, dropped to 4-4.
