Violating the City of Morden's overnight parking ban last weekend came with fines for local residents.

On October 13 police issued four parking tickets to vehicles parked on the street between midnight and 8:00 a.m.

Residents are reminded that vehicles parked on the street overnight from October 1 to April 30 will be towed and the owner fined $150 plus towing fees.

The parking ban helps facilitate snow clearance.

The City of Morden increased the fine from $20 to $150 last winter to deter people from leaving their vehicles on the street overnight.
