Kathy Gyoerick is our Person of the Day because she is the director/founder of Kat's Kritters Rescue and in the almost 5 years since starting, the Rescue has brought in 302 cats, 134 dogs and 1 ferret! She has a very small volunteer base so most of the day to day care for all the animals is done by Kathy. She gives her heart and soul to every animal that is in care. And that is why you’re our Person of the Day!

People know her for her kindness, intelligence, kindness, and her many diverse passions she pursues outside of her career. She recently went back to school and graduated from Red River College with a full bachelor of nursing degree, as a mother of two in her mid-forties that's no small feat!

Lina Wall is our Person of the Day! She goes to work at Parkland School everyday with a heart of gold for her kindergarten students and she is a loving wife!

Lynda Schroeder is our Person of the Day! Lynda is an EA at Maple Leaf School who just steps up and helps out whenever a need arises in the building, or in the community. She goes above and beyond in everything she does! Thanks for everything you do Lynda - you do not go unnoticed!

Conan Kezema is our Person of the Day! He is a dedicated coach to TWO curling teams and is headed off to the Manitoba Winter Games in Thompson this March. He also helps run the Junior Program with his wife. Keep up the great work!

In a season of ups and downs for an injured Winkler Flyers team, Troy Martyniuk stood tall all year long holding the Flyers in a playoff position. He leads the league in wins and is the MJHL's Top Goaltender Award winner. Congratulations Troy for being our Person of the Day!

Colton Harder is our Person of the Day! Captain of the Miller Aces, Colton guided his team through a fantastic season ending in a 4-3 win over the Morden Thunder o take the Zone 4 High School Championship for the first time in 32 years! Congrats to Colton on an amazing season and to the Miller Aces for winning the Championship!
