The Border Valley Water Cooperative is preparing for an expansion project.

Vice Chair Larry Thiessen says the water line will be twinned between Reinland and Neuenberg, and a booster station installed.

This should provide water to about six new hook ups, and increase the pressure to part of Neuenberg.

Thiessen says this project is welcome news for many in the area, because it's been in the works for about three years.

With the additional hook ups, and a bit of extra funding, they felt this was the right time to proceed.

Thiessen says the project should be complete by the middle of September.
