The MP for Provencher has a bone to pick with Liberal leadership candidate Michael Ignatieff.

Justice Minister Vic Toews is upset about comments by Ignatieff during a campaign stop in Manitoba.

Ignatieff claims Toews is engaging in a game of one-upmanship to see which party can introduce the harshest sentences for crimes and that the Tories are considering lowering the age of criminal responsibility.

Toews says those statements are absolutely incorrect.

He adds, he is willing to accept criticism but only if it's based on fact.
