The Progressive Conservative's Agriculture Critic refutes suggestions the party is falling in line with the policies of its federal counterpart.

Earlier this week the provincial Tories voted unanimously against two Canadian Wheat Board Related motions brought forward by the N.D.P.

One called for unanimous support of the single desk, the other called for a farmer plebiscite on wheat and barley.

Lakeside M.L.A. Ralph Eichler says the P.C.'s position has always been very clear.

The party is in favour of marketing choice, and if major changes to the Canadian Wheat Board Act are proposed a farmer plebiscite should be held.

Eichler feels the doer government is playing politics with the wheat board issue, and thinks Monday's debate was aimed at scoring political points.
