The echoes of laughter and the sound of classic country melodies have finally faded as the Plum Fest wrapped up. This year's festival was a whirlwind of excitement, music, and good old fashioned fun.

"We live in the community and we just enjoy getting out and interacting with people. It brings a community together when everybody comes out to enjoy the food. It's nice to see that lots of people come out it's been great watching it grow over the last few years," said Matthew Weibe, who attended the festival.

It all kicked off with a bang a supper that warmed hearts, all in support of the Plum Coulee Sports Committee. As the sun set, the Quonset Brothers took the stage, serenading the crowd with their timeless Classic Country Music that set the perfect tone for the days to come.

The Street Dance turned the town into a giant party, line dancing isn't just for pros – even the most two-left-footed folks found themselves grooving to the beat. Saturday began with the mouthwatering smell of a Waffles and Crackles Breakfast, a steal at just $10 per person. The parade that followed was a full of colours, and the Street Market was a treasure of local wonders.

"I think it's great for the community because there's so many young people moving in. It's not just a small community anymore. It's growing and it gets more people involved," said Erica Dyck who is chair of the plum fest committee.

Kids had alot to enjoy over the weekend, the Petting Zoo, Inflatables, and Obstacle Course had them buzzing with excitement. Meanwhile, the Main Stage was a constant hub of activity, with Shawn Enns delivering a captivating performance and Rollin Penner Comedy leaving us the audience chuckling.

From the heart-pounding Duck Race at Plum Coulee Beach to the adrenaline-charged Fireman's Rodeo, Plum Fest had our everyones attention. Country vibes took center stage with Matt Zimmerman and Lyle Baldwin. On Saturday the night sky lit up with a mesmerizing fireworks display that left everyone wide-eyed.

"I think Plum Fest is wonderful. It's a great thing to see the community to come together and start it off Friday evening with a meal and a dance and mind dancing just gets the excitement going in," said Vicki Hildebrand who attended the event.

The closing act on Sunday was a musical one, as Barbara Joy's Contemporary Christian melodies gently embraced the crowd. It was a great weekend about celebrating community, music, and the joy of being together.
