The Red River could be designated as a heritage river in June, 2007.


Rivers West held an open house in Morris this week to present its research on the Red River.

 

Bob Nedatafko says the Red has played a role in the history, culture and economic development of Western Canada.

 

Nedatafko says the Morris area has been supporting of giving the Red River National Recognition.

 

The portion nominated includes the stretch of river from Emerson to Lake Winnipeg at Netley Marsh.
