Homes along Maple Drive in Winkler were evacuated today at around 12 p.m.

Around 11:20 a.m. emergency crews arrived at a house on Maple Drive, around 11:45 a.m. Manitoba Hydro was on the scene as well.

Emergency crews could be seen with shovels and one resident says they could smell gas from inside their home.
