Restrictions on daytime crop residue burning have come to an end for another year.

From August 1st through November 15th restrictions are put in place to limit the chance of smoke causing visibility and health challenges for nearby residents.

From now through July 31st, 2007 daytime burning of crop residue is permitted from sunrise to sunset each day.

Producers are reminded safe burning practices, including fire guarding and proper supervision, must be followed.

Night time burning is banned all year round.
