Traffic was delayed for a couple of hours this morning east of Winkler on Highway 14 following a collision involving two semis.

According to Winkler Fire Chief Richard Paetzold, both semis were travelling west when one of the semis rear-ended the other. The collision happened across from Circle K Drive.

Paetzold said the rigs sustained some damage, and some fluids were leaking from the semi that rear-ended the other. He added both semis were pulling trailers, but were hauling non-hazardous loads.

Winkler fire crews contained the leak, as well as directed traffic along the busy highway, until the scene was cleared.

Paetzold said there were no injuries.
