Several severe thunderstorms have tore through the province over the last couple of weeks.
So far approximately 500 hail claims have been filed with Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation.
Vice President of Insurance Operations Herb Sulkers says they appear to be spread out around the province.
The highest concentration came from the Portage area where about 50 were recorded.
Sulkers feels losses will not be very high, as early hailstorms usually cause a lot of defoliation but not a lot of yield loss.
Over the past 5 years, M.A.S.C. has received approximately 2,300 hail claims per year.
