A telescope eyepiece that was melted from the inside out while improperly viewing a solar eclipse.

Both Mike Sumner and Darren Enns are amateur sky watchers and had some interesting facts and thoughts for us today as we prepare for a partial solar eclipse in Southern Manitoba and a full solar eclipse over some of the United States.  It is the best partial solar eclipse since 1963 and will cover about 74% of the sun.  The only better viewing we've had in Southern Manitoba is back in 1979 when we experienced a total solar eclipse which Darren Enns was around to experience.  Have a listen to their thoughts.
