The Ile des Chenes Northstars scored four first period goals en route to a 7-2 victory over the Winkler Royals. Justin Tremblay and Tyler Swerdyliak had two goals each for the Northstars (8-5-1) who moved into a tie for third place with the Morden Bombers and Warren Mercs. All three teams have 17 points. Steve Doell and Aaron Lewadniuk replied for the Royals (6-8-1) who are five points ahead of the Carman Beavers in the race for the eighth and final playoff spot. Winkler and Carman have three games left. 


The Pembina Tigers and Garden Valley Zodiacs were winners in the Zone 4 High School Hockey League. Tanner Anderson had a hat trick as Pembina defeated Carman 6-3. Charlie Hill, Anthony Mckay and Grady Ross also scored for the Tigers. Dane Bergen, Griffin Carnelley and Owen Rey did the goal scoring for the Cougars. Julian Bruhn scored the shoot winner as GVC edged Miller 6-5. Jeffrey Holomay, Jason Schmirer, Ketema Wall, Justin Hildebrand and Caleb Friesen scored in regulation for the Zodiacs. Marshall Braun, Jaxon Hildebrand, Griffin Hildebrand, Oakley Peters and Tyson Froese replied for the Aces.


Dalton Andrew scored twice in regulation and Connor Jensen potted the winner 1:34 into overtime as the Winkler Flyers shaded the Neepawa Titans 3-2 at the Yellowhead Centre. Aidan Comeau stopped 19 of the 21 shots he faced in net for the Flyers. 


The Pembina Valley Twisters dropped a 3-2 decision to the St. Vital Victorias. Merek Degraeve and Cohen Thomas did the goal scoring for the Twisters who saw their seven-game points streak come to an end. 


Pembina Valley fell 4-2 to the Winnipeg Avros. Mya Pearce and Marissa Fehr had power play goals for the Hawks. Pembina Valley's Kaylee Franz made 27 saves.


Nate Danielson and Rylen Roersma did the goal scoring and Carson Bjarnason made 19 saves as Brandon shutout the Edmonton Oil Kings 2-0. The Wheat Kings got five of a possible six points on their three-game Alberta road trip. Mason Beaupit stopped all 20 shots he faced as Winnipeg blanked the Moose Jaw Warriors 6-0. Ty Nash and Connor McClennon scored power play goals and Matthew Savoie and Owen Pederson scored shorthanded goals for the Ice. 


Karson Kuhlman scored the go-ahead goal 8:44 into the third period and Kevin Stenlund added an empty netter with 27 seconds left as Winnipeg defeated Philadelphia 5-3. Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor and Axel Jonsson-Fjallby also scored for the Jets who have two wins and two losses on their five-game road trip that wraps up Tuesday in Nashville


Dominic Toninato scored twice, including the overtime winner as the Manitoba Moose shaded the Texas Stars 4-3.
