As students head back to school, motorists are advised to take extra precaution.

Morden Police Chief Brad Neduzak says there have been some concerns in the past with people going through crosswalks while students are using them and driving in an unsafe manner through school zones.

Neduzak says there have also been problems with motorists failing to stop by school buses when the emergency lights are on.

He says this must be done both following and approaching the vehicle.

Failing to do so results in a fine of $535 and demerit points.
