There was substantial damage to a garage after a fire on Pineview Drive in Winkler Wednesday Afternoon.

Chief Richard Paetzold says the call came in around 4:27 p.m., and when crews arrived they found the garage fully involved, with flames threatening the house.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze. There were no injuries in the incident.

The garage was significantly damaged in the fire, and the main floor of the home sustained smoke damage, but no fire damage.

The cause remains under investigation.
