You'll have to make some changes around your house tomorrow.

 

Morden Fire Chief Andy Thiessen says not only do you need to turn your clocks back an hour, but you should change the battery in your smoke alarm.

 

He says it's a good idea to do so even if there is still power left in it.

 

Thiessen adds you should also watch the age of your smoke alarms.

 

He says battery operated ones have a life expectancy of eight to ten years while the electrically mounted ones last between twelve and fifteen years.
