The University of Manitoba's School of Agriculture centennial was a huge success.

Hundreds of former aggies attended ceremonies at the Fort Garry campus over the weekend.

1966 graduate, and co-founder of Jackson-Triggs Vintners Don Triggs, was the keynote speaker.

He feels post secondary agricultural education will be around for another one hundred years.

Triggs says the industry is constantly evolving, and for the agri-business entrepeneurs of tomrrow to be prepared, they will have to be educated.

Don grew up on a mixed farm northwest of Treherne, while his wife who also graduated from the U of M, was raised on a grain farm near Elgin.

The two now reside in Southern Ontario.
