The Red River Basin Commission continues to receive support from the provincial government.

The organization has received $55 000 to help it continue its work in the areas of water stewardship, flood protection, public outreach, and education.

Secretary Treasurer Herm Martens says the commission is doing good work and has facilitated dialogue on contentious water issues like the border road.

Martens says North Dakota and Manitoba are holding high level discussions on that issue.

He says both sides seem willing to resolve the matter.
