Demolition crews plan to get to work early Wednesday morning to continue work on taking down the 'big bowl' on top of the Winkler water tower and to complete removal of the structure.

With winds being too strong for crews to proceed with the job safely, and winds forecasted to be too gusty Tuesday to complete the job, demolition of the water tower has been tentatively rescheduled for Wednesday morning.

Work at the tower site is slated to get started around 4 am, when the wind should be the calmest.

The bowl is then expected to be brought down between 7 to 9 am on Wednesday morning.

Crews could be seen working near the water tower bowl from Harmony Lane on Monday morning.
