The Winkler Community Foundation has officially kicked off its reach for the peak campaign.

The foundation has set a goal to build its capital fund to $1,000,000.
Executive Director Laurie Dyck says this would enable them to give double the amount they grant back to the community.
Dyck says right now the capital fund is at $620,000, so they need to raise almost $400,000 which they hope to do in 3 to 4 years.
She says the foundation is there so people can leave a legacy they can be proud of.
Dr. Tony Campolo reminded the audience  yesterday that time is not to be wasted,  and often when people think about what they would like to do over in life, leaving a legacy is one of the main points.
