Don't expect the skies to open up with rain anytime soon.

Environment Canada's Suzanne D'Amours says we're stuck in a dry cycle with not enough moisture in the air to create more rain.

And she says there's no end in site for this cycle.

Ideally we'd like to see a low pressure system move through the area from the southwest, but she says systems like that are rare on the prairies at this time of year.

D'Amours adds we'll likely continue to see precipitation only in small, localized areas.
