It's that time of year when we start to see a glimpse of winter.

A winter storm watch has been issued for the Pembina Valley.

Andre Cyr with Environment Canada says this is caused by strong, cold winds coming off of Lakes Manitoba and Winnipeg.

He says a change in winds can shift these bands which changes the amount of snow we may get.

Cyr says we can expect these conditions to continue through to Friday.

He says the temperatures will gradually rise over the weekend.
