Wheat Board Opponents And Proponents In Saskatoon

Pro Wheat Board and pro marketing choice forces are in Saskatoon today.

The federal government is holding a meeting focused on discussing options surrounding the dual marketing of Western Canadian wheat and barley.

That event will be attended by Agriculture Minister Chuck Strahl, and chaired by his Parliamentary Secretary David Anderson.

Meanwhile, at the same time the National Farmers Union is holding a pro wheat board meeting and rally.

Keystone Agricultural Producers President David Rolfe, Canadian Federation of Agriculture President Bob Friesen, and Liberal Agriculture Critic Wayne Easter are expected to speak at the N.F.U.'s event.
