The Winkler Cricket Club (WCC) won the Manitoba T20 tournament earlier this month in Winnipeg. WCC beat the Trail Blazers in the MCA T20 final by 30 Runs. WCC won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 143 with the loss of 6 wickets. In reply, Trail Blazers scored 113 runs.

''It feels good and we are very proud. We wanted to do this and worked have worked so hard to get a trophy in Winkler," explained batsmen Deepak Saini.

Batting first Winkler Cricket scored 143 in allotted 20 overs due to great batting performance again from Deepak Saini and Garry Kang. Meanwhile, Bowler, Amarvir Panag, and Mandeep Saini started the proceeding as per plan and then Deepak, Guriqbal Guri and Kang bowled really well.

"We worked hard and together," said coach Mandeep Saini. Just like soccer, there are players who can win matches on any day and I think we have around six players who can do that. That's the major ingredient of our success and also we body together and play together. It was a very proud moment and we nailed it."

The Royals did all this without having their own pitch to practice on at this moment, but are working toward receiving one in the near future.

Team Manager Zahid Zehri explained having a team full of players who have a great passion and raw talent for the game really helped bring this team to the top.

The Royals were the only team to go undefeated during the T20 tournament.
