The rain we received over the past two days has not dampened the spirits of those involved with the World Record Harvest for Kids.

Organizer Ray Wieler says they are still aiming at 2:30 as a start time.

However, he says they will test the crop just before and may delay it by an hour if it needs a little more drying time.

Wieler says the sun and wind we've had since the rain yesterday has helped.

He adds they were at the site this morning and tested some of the swath.

Wieler says the straw is a little damp but is still going through the combine nicely.

The field is located just south of Winkler along Highway 32.
