Portage Collegiate Institute boys and Carman Collegiate girls captured the Zone 4 High School golf championships Tuesday at the Minnewasta golf club in Morden. 

Carson Inman (79), Thomas Zatina (82), Ethan Breaky (96), Hunter Jeffries (103) and Brady Klassen (120) finished with a 257 total which was six shots better than Ryan Orchard (84), Jaron Johnson (89), Reid North (90) and Keirson North (109) of Carman. 

The three best scores were used to determine the team total.

Raiden LeGall (86), Bijan Salimi (89), Josh Hildebrand (96), Darby Olson (107) and Jay-Ar Manianglung (122) of Morden were third at 271.

Carter Plett (89), Brayden Froese (94), Kam Thomas (96), Jonas Friesen (113) and Carson Neufeld (123) of Garden Valley finished fourth at 279.

India Young (89), Keira Krahn (98) and Shaela Hayward (129) were 316 and finished 83 shots ahead of Brooke Henderson (109), Lexi Henderson (140) and Cameron Spence (150) of Portage Collegiate. 

11 boys teams and three girls teams competed in the Zone championship which had 75 golfers in total. 

PCI boys and Carman girls will represent Zone 4 at the Provincial High School Golf Championships which will be held this Friday at the Carman golf course. 

Carman boys will compete as the host team at the Provincials.
