The 2017 Canola Junior Curling Championship for both Men's and Women's wrapped up over the weekend in Winnipeg, but not before an interesting situation played out for long time curling fans.

The names Kerry Burtnyk and Jeff Ryan will resonate with many curling fans, seeing how they won the 1995 World Curling Championship in Brandon.

At that time Burtnyk skipped the team, and Ryan was third. Now to the interesting situation this past weekend. Kerry's daughter Laura won  the Provincial Junior women's title with Jeff's daughter Hailey playing third!

And to make things even sweeter for the Ryan family, Jeff's son J-T won the Provincial Junior Men's title.

And while this keeping it in the curling family situation was playing out, Kerry and Jeff were watching the entire thing unfold. Our Clayton Dreger was there too, and spoke with the Champs, beginning with Kerry on watching his daughter win her first provincial junior title.

And now we hear from Jeff Ryan on surviving Friday's final day of the Provincial Juniors.

Clayton Dreger speaking with Kerry Burtnyk and Jeff Ryan who were watching the next generation of Manitoba curling champions at the Canola Junior Curling Championship over the weekend.

The 1995 World Curling Champions were enjoying the moment a little bit more than most because Kerry's daughter Laura won  the Provincial Junior women's title with Jeff's daughter Hailey playing third!

Similar to 1995 when Kerry skipped their championship winning team, and Jeff was playing third.

Only in Manitoba curling! By the way, the Canadian Juniors begin January 21st in Victoria, B.C. This morning's Moment of Meditation follows the forecast.
