The 9th Annual H.O.K. Festival was held this past Saturday on May 27th in St. Jean. H.O.K stands for Helping Our Kids and that’s what the whole festival is about, raising funds for the children in their small town.

Through the festival they raised around $6000 and will use it for community improvements for the kids. From past years, they have been able to fundraise enough to build a skate park, multipurpose tennis courts, and many small improvements such as new netting for their hockey rink.

Even though it was really windy throughout the day, many people signed up to play in their street hockey tournament which was the main attraction of the festival.

There was a poutine fest, a fundraiser BBQ canteen, free massages and many, many events for the kids! Horse rides, Mr. Circus shows, inflatable bouncers, face painting, and much, much, more! It was definitely a fun day for the kids and everyone else as well.
