They are known across the country for their blend of fiddle music and celtic dance, and I think it's fair to say they are a quintessentially Canadian fixture of our entertainment scene seeing how the family has been performing for nearly three decades.

The Leahys are getting ready to embark on a Western Canadian Tour, with a stop March 15th in Winkler, and band member Denise Leahy joined us for the Morning Show Thursday to talk about the group's evolution and new configuration.

Denise also spoke about whether when Leahy took the stage nearly thirty years ago, if at that time, the family thought they would still be performing now.

We also chatted about the longevity of their blend of Celtic dance and fiddle music.

The Leahys will perform Wednesday, March 15th at the P.W. Enns Centennial Concert Hall in Winkler. Tickets are still available, and you can order yours by clicking here.
