We will take a moment to pause and reflect on those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country Sunday, November 11th and Friday morning we were very fortunate to share the story of a veteran who served in WWII

Carm Colvin from Carman turns 100 years old in December, and served in Belgium, Holland, Germany and Luxembourg over the course of about three years with the Signal Corps.

Reporter Candace Derksen sat down with Carm to talk about his experiences serving his country.

Carm also spoke about the importance of Remembrance Day, and why we all need to reflect on those who gave their lives for our freedom.

Sixteen of the seventy-two men Carm landed with in France made it home. He found out the War had ended while burying his Captain in a farmer’s field who was killed the day before. By sharing these stories as we head toward Remembrance Day we do our part to never forget. Thank you Carm for helping us do that.
