Local grade 7&8 students gave their best efforts at the Zone 4 Track & Field Meet on Tuesday afternoon. Students from Emerado, Parkland, WES, Plum Coulee, Border Valley, Altona, EMMS, and Prairie Dale schools braved the cold weather to compete against one another to for Zone 4 glory.

It was great to see the hardwork these athletes put in pay off in such a great way. Walter Fehr, Event Organizer and Border Valley Gym Teacher, talked about what went in to organizing the meet. "The big thing is making sure everything is set up and that all the events are organized and that all the kids are ready." He went on to talk about how the meet has evolved over the last few years, "We've changed our events to meet the provincial standard. Our events are geared toward what they have [at the provincial meet]."

Here are some of the action shots from the meet.
