Learn how to successfully integrate various livestock such as chickens, cows, pigs, fowl, and rabbits into your gardening and cropping rotations. Get all your weeding, tilling, fertilizing, aeration, shredding and more done for free- you might even get bacon and eggs too!

Using examples from his family’s 250-acre farm, Takota will introduce the principles and processes he uses to design for functional fauna interactions in the back yard or on the back forty.

Topics include:
•How to identify and direct the energies and abilities of wild and domesticated animals
•Improving your quality of life and that of your animals
•Case study of Coen Farm’s integrated livestock system which includes: beef and dairy cattle, Berkshire pigs, heritage chickens, gardens, cover crops, grain, and compost production
•Examples of applicable techniques and how to adapt them to your context
•Our role as a keystone species on this planet

This workshop takes place on Saturday April 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Harvest Moon Learning Centre in Clearwater, on 8-10th Street.

$75 + tax, lunch included
