Ty Sylvester scored his second goal of the game with five minutes left as the Carman Cougars rallied from a 4-1 deficit and defeated the Miller Aces 5-4 in game one of their Zone 4 High School League best-of-three semifinal.

Eric Klassen, Tyson Allison and Tyler Livingston also scored for the hometown Cougars.

Allison's goal with one minute remaining in the middle frame cut Miller's lead to 4-2.

Sylvester's first of the night on the power play 3:43 into the third period made the score 4-3 for the Aces and Livingston potted the equalizer with 5:29 left.

Colton Harder had a pair of goals for Miller while the rest went to Ryan Smiley and Matthew Fehr.

Aces netminder Declan Enns made 34 saves.

Carman goaltender Alex Clemis faced 19 shots.

Game two goes Friday in Altona.
