The Winnipeg Jets are still looking for the their first win of the season against the Minnesota Wild.

The Jets, who have had great success against the other six teams in the NHL's Central Division, are now winless in three games against the Wild after dropping a 4-2 decision to Minnesota on Tuesday night at MTS Centre.

"I think we didn't have a great start," said Winnipeg captain Blake Wheeler. "We were a little bit slow to start the game and then I thought we turned it on, did some good things. Regardless of the score, I thought we controlled a good portion of the play. Thats a good team over there, they do a lot of good thing defensively, and I thought we spent some good time in their zone."

Jason Pominville had two goals and two assists for the Western Conference leading Wild who received a 38-save performance from Devan Dubnyk.

Bryan Little and Joel Armia did the goal scoring for the Jets.

Winnipeg outshot Minnesota 40-25.

Ondrej Pavelec, who was making his eighth start in nine games, left with 13:45 remaining in the second period after suffering a lower-body injury.

He allowed three goals on 14 shots and was replaced by Connor Hellebuyck.

The Jets (25-27-4) next game is Friday at home against the Chicago Blackhawks.
