The Morden Minor Hockey Wall of Fame has added seven new players and updated two of the current player's bios.

Director of community services for the City of Morden Clare Agnew said in order to get on the wall, "You have to have played minor hockey in Morden at some point in your career. The men have to play two years in Junior or higher and females have to play two years at NCAA/University or higher."

First Agnew noted they are updating pictures of Colby and Chay Genoway's after they won the Spangler Cup together in December.

"I think it's great to recognize them. They all started or have played minor hockey in Morden. I think it's good to give them the recognition and a lot of people look at this wall. It's also fun for those players, and provides something for the younger players to strive towards," said Agnew.

The new players are; Taylor Woods (the first female added), Scott Gall, Michael Knaub, Victor Knaub, Zac Robidoux, Elmar Tabler, and Riley Thiessen.

"It was important for us to get Taylor's up here before we held the Esso Cup. We wanted to show that there is recognition for female players as well. I wouldn't be surprised that in the next few years we will be adding a lot more female names to the list," said Agnew.
