The Pembina Valley Storm won the Parkland Cup hosted in Dauphin March 24-26. This team is made of up players born in 2006 from Altona, Morden, Gretna, Homewood, Miami, Carman and Winkler.

The Storm started the tournament off with a 12-2 win over the Winnipeg Eagles on Friday. Saturday kicked off with a 3-3 tie with the Valley Snipers, then a 13-0 victory over Pembina Valley West.

Pembina Valley was able to beat the host Parkland Rangers in overtime in the semi-final game to advance to Sunday's final against the Valley Snipers from Saskatchewan and skated to a 4-0 shutout win.

A pair of players from the Storm were also successful in the skills competition Friday night. Bryson Yaschshyn was named the top goaltender and Liam Goertzen was the fastest skater.
