Access Credit Union has once again partnered with eight of the regions golf courses to host the Junior Golf Tour.

The Access Junior Golf Tour is a summer program open to golfers of all abilities, boys and girls, ages 9 -18. Once a week for 8 weeks, young golfers get the opportunity to play golf with other young golfers who love the game and experience some of the beautiful courses that Manitoba has to offer.

Each event includes a meal, snacks, prizes, and a round of golf. The cost is $20 per event or $140 for all eight events. Golfers are not required to attend all events.

Geoff Kehler, Head Professional at the Minnewasta Golf and Country Club helps manage the tour. "The Access Credit Union Tour has been a great asset for young golfers to meet other juniors their age and have a fun filled day of golf. The golf courses we go to each week look forward to hosting the event every year," says Kehler.

Larry Davey, President and CEO of Access Credit Union commented on what the tour means to Access Credit Union. "We continually strive to support the youth in our communities. The tour does a phenomenal job of promoting a healthy lifestyle, sportsmanship, and fun. It is wonderful to see the next generation develop their love of the game while experiencing many of the beautiful courses that the Pembina Valley has to offer," says Davey.

Emily Suderman, Community Coordinator at Access Credit Union encourages golfers of all abilities to join the junior golf tour. She notes that the skills of the participants range from beginner to more experienced, but that the tour is designed to promote fun and skill development.

This year, the tour will make its way to Roland, Oakview, Winkler, Carman, Manitou, Miami, Riverview, and Minnewasta.

Registration forms for the 2017 Junior Golf Tour are available at all Access Credit Union locations, any of the participating golf courses, or online at www.accesscu.ca
