The Northlands Parkway varsity girls basketball team wrapped up a successful season by defeating the Steinbach Regional Secondary School 37-30 in the South Central Athletic Conference's Third Place Game this past Friday at Dakota Collegiate in Winnipeg.

Northlands Parkway Collegiate did not have a varsity girls basketball team in 2015-2016.

The Nighthawks put a team on the floor this season and had a 6-3 record in the SCAC's Tier II division and moved up to Tier I for the playoffs.

NPC beat the J.H. Bruns Broncos 53-40 in the quarterfinals; lost 64-40 to the Glenlawn Lions in the semifinals and downed the SRSS in the Third Place Game.

Northlands Parkway varsity boys finished with a 4-5 record in Tier II and saw their season come to an end with an 82-55 loss to J.H. Bruns in the Tier I quarterfinals.
