Those were Spencer Norrie's four rounds this week at the Rossmere Country Club in Winnipeg and when you do the math – it adds up to to a third place finish for the Minnewasta member at the 2017 Provincial Junior Men's Golf Championship.

“I played well the first three days,” said Norrie after the completion of round four on Thursday afternoon. “I hit the ball well. I struggled with the putter all week. I think I just have to find a three-day tournament to play in and play those all the time instead.”

The 17-year-old Morden product, who will play on the University of Manitoba Bisons golf team this fall, finished with a 72-hole total of 14-over par 294.

Ryan McMillan of Elmhurst captured his first provincial junior title.

McMillan was two-under par 278 and finished 12 shots ahead of runner-up Zach Wytinck of Glenboro.

Norrie played the final two rounds with McMillan.

“He just doesn't miss,” said Norrie. “Everything is down the middle and if it's not, he's scrambling and making a birdie. It's incredible to watch. He strikes the ball really, really well.”

Colton Harder of the Winkler Golf Club was 79 Thursday and finished in a tie for 25th place at 323.

Caydon Klassen of Winkler was 99 for a 405 total.

Camryn Roadley of Southwood, the 2015 Manitoba Women's Amateur champion, won the Provincial Junior Championship by five shots over Bobbi Uhl of Shilo.
