People put their minds to the test Friday at the Winkler Family Resource Centre’s (WFRC) Quiz Night.

Participants were encouraged to dress up, as everyone in costume was entered to win prizes.

Lisa Wolfe a board member for the WFRC, says they invited the Quizmasters, a group who organizes quiz events, from Stonewall and began the event as a fun way to raise money.
Lisa Wolfe a board member for the WFRC, says the event was a lot of fun and with 18 teams larger than last years turnout

"We've been doing it for about four years now. We love it and we get a pretty good turn out each year."

In total 18 teams took part this year, larger than last year.

The event helps raise money for the WFRC. Cathy Savage, coordinator for WFRC, shares what the centre offers the community.

"There are so many people who are new to the city. If you have small kids you really need to get out and connect with people. We had someone who just arrived from Tokyo, she joined our Jolly Tots program. She got to meet other moms, her children got to meet other kids."

The centre allows kids and their parents to meet people in the community and learn more of what the community has to offer.

Winners of the Quiz Night, Braaaains!, took home the top spot for the third year in a row. Wolfe says they enjoy having the Quiz Night so much they've booked the Quizmasters to come for the next three years.
