Altona Police Service is encouraging cyclists, pedestrians and motorists to share the roads responsibly following a collision between a bike and car late last week near the community's downtown. The incident happened at 1:20 p.m. at the intersection of Centre Ave. and 2nd St.

Fortunately no one was hurt, however police stress the result could've been much worse.

The incident was caught on camera, and the Altona Police Service is using it to remind motorists that operating a vehicle requires undivided attention, and a lack of focus for even a split second, could result in tragedy.

Cyclists are reminded to stop at stop signs, and obey the rules of the road.
