Boundary Trails Health Centre (BTHC) is $250,000 closer to completing its expansion project after the Morden Thrift Store handed out its bi-annual grants.

"The generosity of the community is outstanding," said BTHC Director of Health Services Angie Cusson.

Last week the Thrift Store granted around $364,000 to local organizations and the BTHC was included amongst them.

Cusson said this money will be used to help pursue their expansion plans at the Hospital. Cusson said this project would see a new building added, and the expansion of the current services it does provide.

At this time BTHC is still doing a lot of the preliminary work toward getting to the next phase of the expansion project, which is the actual planning piece.

"In the meantime, this gift will accumulate interest," said Cusson. "We've been told that we can use the interest from this money to buy equipment at the hospital."

According to Cusson, the hospital does have quite the list already for equipment they'd like to purchase. She added the biggest benefactors of this donation are the patients and staff as they'll have increased space while they're working and or in the hospital and more services will be available to its patrons.
