Manitobans are once again voting on the worst roads in the province.

CAA on Tuesday launched the sixth annual Worst Roads Campaign. The program aims to identify and worst roads and to lobby to make sure those are repaired as quickly as possible.

"We do this campaign every year and it is a way for Manitobans to tell us what concerns and priorities the government should tackle next," said CAA'S Erika Miller.

Manitobans can nominate their Worst Road at caamanitoba.com/WorstRoads, the CAA Manitoba Facebook page or the CAA app. Voters can pinpoint a particular part of the road they feel is the worst and specify the infrastructure issue, such as traffic congestion, potholes and crumbling infrastructure, or pedestrian and cycling safety.

"Last year we had 8,800 people vote and a record number of six rural roads made the top 10 list of worst roads."

In recognition of the hard work being done to improve Manitoba's infrastructure, a new feature is being rolled out this year: a most improved road designation. Selected from the roads that have ranked on the top 10 list over the years and voted on by participants, the most improved road will be announced at the end of the campaign.
