Morden has trumped Winkler in a friendly activity competition.

With it being Canada's 150th birthday in 2017, Participaction announced the Canada 150 Playlist. This playlist is filled with 150 different activities for everyone in the country to try.

"Morden and Winkler decided to enter into a challenge, So we've been challenging each other to complete as many as possible," said Morden Recreation Programmer Stephanie Dueck. "We have been doing it as individuals, and as some planned events. We just wrapped up the competition, but you can still do these activities through the rest of 2017."

Dueck noted the City wanted to do something special for the 150th birthday of our country, and this was a way they were able to do so.

The competition originally started in February, and concluded last week with Morden coming out ahead, by completing 120 of the 150 activities offered compared to Winkler's 113.

"Jordan [Driedger] (Winkler Recreation Programmer) and myself both feel the real win is seeing our communities active, and having each person participate was really great. To see the number of people trying new activities was really great," explained Dueck.

According to Dueck you can try some of these activities during the Corn and Apple Festival, August 25th-27th.
