Last week the Personal Care Home project in Carman received a large donation of $250,000 from Access Credit Union.

Boyne Lodge is currently under construction and will help to match the current needs of adult and elderly care in the Town of Carman and the surrounding area of Dufferin.

"This is staying in line with what we've done in other areas. We've donated similar amounts to Gardens on Tenth in Altona, Tabor Home in Morden, and the Buhler Active Living Centre in Winkler," says Access President and CEO, Larry Davey.

He notes this is a natural thing for Access to do in the communities they have branches in and shows their dedication to investing in local.

"We're really happy because this model of supporting our communities has led to our success and the sustainability of the communities, and we're really happy with that outcome."

Davey says the new branch in Carman, set to open sometime after the new year, is another way they are articulating their support.

"This was a nice fit. We're happy to help out the population of Carman and at the same time, show that we're going to be there for a long long time."
