Lynda MacLean is the new executive director of the Corn and Apple planning committee, and Jocelyne Durand is the new chairperson, filling MacLean's role.

MacLean, while having volunteered in nearly every conceivable aspect of the festival is new the executive director post. Durand had served as chairperson about 10 years ago. She's glad for her previous experience which will aid her in running a festival which has ballooned in size since she was chair.

"It was something that was thought out," said Durand. "I'm looking forward to it."

Durand accepted the position for this year's festival, but doesn't plan to remain the chairperson for more than one year.

"I have big shoes that I have to fill," she said.

MacLean says her role changes from leading, to facilitating--helping everyone get their jobs done.

"I like planning things, I love the Corn and Apple," said MacLean.

This early into the year, she doesn't have any specific goals aside from learning her role.
