Miami may be a small town, but the community drew in a large crowd this year with the 111th Miami Fair & Rodeo.

"We've had a bigger gate this year than what we've ever had," says Jan Moody, the Miami Ag Society Secretary Treasurer.

Moody notes the Heartland Rodeo Association are scheduled to be all around Manitoba, with Miami being near the front of the circuit.

Alongside the entertainment of the rodeo, there was also duck race set up along a street with the help of the Miami Fire Department. She notes plenty of families also enjoyed the entertainment from the freshly painted grand stands.

She notes it's been a lot of work, "it's been a huge project" but worth the effort to see the crowds enjoying themselves.

"The message is out there that this is a great place to come... it's total family entertainment."
